Event Promotional Poster

Project Goal

The goal of this project was to design an event promotional poster for Top of the Rock by creating perspective and use depth and abstraction as a way to represent the skyscraper structure of the Rockefeller Center, leaving room for any kind of night events that would be taken on the observation deck.

Design Process

The design process for Top of the Rock was to use physical elements to create our typography. So using the isometric grid on the left, I wanted to capture the essence of depth and height of the Rockefeller Building. Then transferred over to paper and cut out the words following the grid and laid them on a blue background to capture the natural colors of the shadow the letter created.
