Project Goal
The Diwali festival of lights is based on a tradition that has been going on for years and it celebrates the good vs, evil upon the earth and the renewal of life. The main idea of this event is to celebrate an Indian tradition while encouraging people to come and join in the festivities. It helps people become more culturally aware of culture and tradition.
I decided to use typography to spread the message and using the concept of foreground, middle ground, and background I wanted each dancer to connect with the words and use a powder brush to create an explosion of colors to really show contrast.
Design Process
The visual concept I want to go for are lights and shadows, organic and festive patterns, complementary or split complementary colors that represent the culture & show the modern and tradition aspects. The language or the tone of this event is festive, warmth, comfort, joyful, spiritual, and lastly victorious due to the main idea of the event: victory over evil.


Identity System
The festival logo captures the essence of the diyas,a flame, along with the colors that were chosen amplify the Indian traditions and culture.
